TESTAMENT and LAMB OF GOD will co-headline “Pulp Summer Slam 10” in the Philippines, taking place this Saturday, April 17th, 2010 at the Amoranto Stadium in Quezon City, Manila. The Pulp Summer Slam Festival is known as largest metal festival in the Philippines today. SCHEDULED TO ANNOUNCE THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA’s LIVE PERFORMANCE
On April 8th 2010, Bay area thrash legends and Golden God Album of the Year recipients TESTAMENT will once again go down in Revolver Golden Gods history as presenters. Vocalist Chuck Billy and guitarist Eric Peterson are on deck to announce the live on-stage performance of Ohio metallers, The Devil Wears Prada.
Chuck and Eric are pleased to be announcing the performance, and had a few words to share about the unique experience. “We are honored that we’ve been invited to announce the performance of The Devil Wears Prada at this year’s Revolver Golden Gods Awards,” stated Chuck Billy. “Revolver is one of the greatest metal publications of our era, and we’re pleased to give back by being given this opportunity. We look forward to seeing our fellow metal gods there!” Eric Peterson had the following to say about the event, “This time I’m not accepting an award but giving an award, and it’s cool to be on the other end of things! I’m excited to hang out with my peers that I also happen to be a fan of.”
TESTAMENT are not strangers to the Golden Gods award show! The legendary heavy metal heroes won the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Album of the Year award in 2008 for The Formation of Damnation. The album debuted at #59 on the Billboard Top 200 and is TESTAMENT’s highest charting release in their 24-year history. The highly successful The Formation of Damnation has been reissued in a deluxe tour edition which is in stores now.

SLAYER, MEGADETH, TESTAMENT ANNOUNCE NEW DATES FOR THE "AMERICAN
CARNAGE" NORTH AMERICAN TOUR
Canadian Carnage East Leg Now Confirmed to Begin Late July
Los Angeles, CA - February 1, 2010 -- Slayer and Megadeth are thrilled to announce the new, confirmed routing for the American Carnage North American Tour, which will commence with the rescheduled Canadian Carnage East dates in Quebec City on Friday, July 23. Slayer will then head to Europe for a run of festival dates, returning to kick off the American Carnage leg in Albany, NY on August 11. American Carnage will play 26 dates across the United States and Eastern Canada up to the Labor Day weekend, ending in Portland, OR on September 4. Testament will be Special Guest on all shows. Tickets purchased for the American Carnage shows when they first went on sale late last year will be honored for these rescheduled dates. Due to venue availability and other conflicts, the shows originally scheduled in El Paso, Houston, Nashville, Duluth, and Louisville cannot be rescheduled at this time, and ticket holders may obtain refunds at point of purchase. However, new cities have been added to the American Carnage itinerary, with dates now scheduled in Cleveland, Kansas City, San Diego, and Sacramento. The confirmed, complete itinerary is below.
The American Carnage Tour, originally scheduled to take place in January and February, had to be put on hold due to Slayer's vocalist/bassist, Tom Araya's ongoing, minimally-invasive treatments for what was diagnosed as a Cervical Radiculopathy, an occupational hazard for the rocker who is known for aggressively swinging his long mane of hair while performing. Right after the first of the year, Araya made the difficult decision to undergo a surgical procedure, called an Anterior Cervical Discectomy with Fusion, a relatively routine practice with an excellent recovery rate. That surgery took place early last week.
"The doctors said that Tom's surgery went very smoothly and was a resounding success," said Rick Sales, long-time Slayer manager. "He's home now, doing really well, and he said the numbness in his fingers had already diminished considerably."
Shortly after the surgery, Slayer's Kerry King received a text from Tom: "Awake and feeling good, actually whatever he did, it feels better."
The American Carnage Tour will mark the first time that Slayer, Megadeth and Testament will have toured the U.S. together since 1991's epic "Clash of the Titans" tour, making this truly a "must-see" event.
Slayer recently announced the rescheduling of its headline tour in the UK and Europe, and Megadeth and Testament are currently on tour together playing U.S. cities that will not be on the American Carnage itinerary.
Both Megadeth and Slayer will hit the road on July 23 in support of their most recent albums: Megadeth's 2009 album, ENDGAME, and Slayer's World Painted Blood, the band's 10th studio venture, which hit stores November 3, 2009. Testament's The Formation of Damnation: Special Tour Edition, will be released on February 23, 2010 with special unreleased bonus tracks.
Slayer and Megadeth have already massacred territories together outside of the U.S., first with four explosive dates in June 2009 across Western Canada - "Canadian Carnage" - the first time the bands had toured together anywhere in 18 years - and then six co-headlining "Carnage" dates in Australia followed last October.
According to various Canadian press outlets last summer: "It was a night of thrash impossible to trash..." "Tales about war, death, destruction, Satan, aliens and serial killers have never been so much fun..." "The two heavy metal heavyweights...went head-to-head on a level playing field. Both bands brought their 'A' game. And the results were anything but pretty - unless you include pretty freakin' loud and pretty freakin' awesome."
Slayer. The Chicago Tribune's Greg Kot wrote that Slayer is "one of the great American rock bands of the last 30 years, forget about genre." Indeed, few bands come close to matching the intensity that Slayer - guitarists Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman, vocalist/bassist Tom Araya, and drummer Dave Lombardo - bring to its live shows, having been named "Best Live Band" by numerous media outlets including Revolver, SPIN, and Metal Hammer. World Painted Blood offers a Slayer-ized point of view of our world - God's terrifying global genocide, the chaos of our broken political system, the way-too-close proximity of world horrors that technology has brought us, and a chilling hypothesis of how the rest of the world might view America. The album was recorded in Los Angeles over two time periods, during October 2008 and then between late January and March 2009. World Painted Blood was produced by Greg Fidelman who has spent time in the studio with Metallica, the Gossip, the (International) Noise Conspiracy, Slipknot and others, and executive produced by long-time Slayer colleague Rick Rubin, who suggested Fidelman for the project. One reviewer called the album "the heaviest, bloodiest and best album in almost two decades." World Painted Blood landed on boatloads of U.S. and International "Best of" lists for 2009, and N.A.R.A.S. saw fit to bestow its fourth Grammy nomination on Slayer - Best Metal Performance for the WPB track, "Hate Worldwide." For "American Carnage," Slayer's Tom Araya promises, "no ballads, no acoustic numbers, no slow tempos."
Megadeth. 2009 saw the release of ENDGAME, which has been heralded as Megadeth's best album in years. It's the record where it all comes full circle in a career that has not only set standards in hard rock and metal, but defined them. Megadeth's signature shredding and rousing lyrics are the hallmarks of ENDGAME, with vocalist/guitarist Dave Mustaine once again musing and making declarations about the world we live in, having named the album after a government document that should strike fear in the hearts of Americans! But that's Mustaine and Megadeth, using the vehicle of music to shake things up, to make a point and to rattle your brain, literally, figuratively and sonically. Revolver magazine said of ENDGAME, "One of their best albums." VH1's 'That Metal Show' deemed it "One of the metal albums of the year," and Popmatters said, "the record positively scorches with an intensity not heard since Rust in Peace." The band was also awarded the eighth Grammy nomination of its career for “Head Crusher,” which serves as more proof that ENDGAME is quickly earning “essential” status in the Megadeth catalog. Megadeth will appear on the season premiere of VH1 Classic’s “That Metal Show,” which airs Saturday, February 6, at 11 PM EST.

New York, NY: IT’S been whispered about, discussed and desired amongst the international thrash metal community, and finally it can be screamed loudly from rooftops, street-corners and car windows.
The mighty Megadeth will join forces with Testament and Exodus for this historic month-long jaunt that will find these thrash titans crisscrossing the nation on the ‘Rust in Peace’ 20th anniversary tour. These will be incredibly special shows that will delight Megadeth fans, as the band will be playing their landmark, genre-defining album, 1990’s Rust in Peace, in its entirety, in addition to other Megadeth set list favorites.
Megadeth’s latest, ENDGAME, was released in September 2009 and received some of the highest critical accolades of the band’s career. The band performed on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon and was nominated for yet another Grammy – the eight nomination of their storied career- for “Head Crusher.” Megadeth also enjoyed heaps of praise in the press, from outlets as varied as New York to Revolver to VH1’s “That Metal Show” to PopMatters. Testament, www.testamentlegions.com the seminal Bay Area thrash titans, will perform their first-ever album ‘The Legacy’ in its entirety during the “RUST IN PEACE 20th Anniversary Tour” with Megadeth and Exodus . In this monsterously massive celebration of metal, Testament felt it was time to throw down the gauntlet and bring people back to the roots of their visceral and vice-tight music, re-invoking songs which helped lay the foundation for a thrash generation. “We wanted to give the fans something different,” says frontman Chuck Billy, “we wanted to play these songs which have not been played since we’ve been touring “Formation Of Damnation.”
“I can’t believe that we wrote this stuff when we are 17, 18, and 19 years old,” says Eric Peterson. “Although ‘Formation…’ stands on it’s own, we cannot even write music today like we did back then. ‘The Legacy’ will always be our legacy.”
Refreshingly brutal, yet steeped in clever melodic twists, ‘The Legacy’ was a scene-busting statement of intent by Billy, guitarists Eric Peterson and Alex Skolnick, bassist Greg Christian and drummer Louie Clemente. And with classic pit-starters such as ‘Over The Wall’, ‘Burnt Offerings’ and ‘First Strike Is Deadly’ creating human froth with genuine songwriting prowess, ‘The Legacy’ set Testament up to take the thrash metal world by storm in the coming years.
“These are the first nine songs we put together,” says Billy proudly, “this is what started the band, so we wanted to go back and give the fans a chance to not only get back to metal’s roots, but to feel the force of Testament’s roots at the same time.”And it’s no wonder with a foundation like that we are still here today,” adds Peterson

BACK SURGERY SCHEDULED FOR SLAYER'S TOM ARAYA,BAND'S TOUR PLANS POSTPONED THROUGH APRIL
Slayer Camp Working Hard to Reschedule Dates for Later This Year
Los Angeles, CA - Thursday, January 7, 2010 -- "Tom gave various medical treatments more than a fair shot," said Slayer's manager Rick Sales, "but they just haven't handled the problem, so he's biting the bullet and is scheduled for back surgery at the end of this month."
This difficult decision made by the band's bassist/vocalist Tom Araya means the cancellation of Slayer's immediate tour plans that include the American and Canadian Carnage Tour dates that were set to kick off on January 18, as well as the band's UK/European tour scheduled for March and April. Booking agents for both Slayer and Megadeth are already hard at work to see if these dates can be rescheduled, so those holding tickets are asked to sit tight as more info will be announced as progress is made.
The headbanging Araya, known for aggressively swinging his long mane of hair while performing, began experiencing back problems while on the band's Australian/New Zealand/Japanese tour last October. In spite of his rapidly increasing pain and discomfort, he carried on with the tour, but immediately upon returning home saw an orthopedic specialist who diagnosed a Cervical Radiculopathy. The rocker initially did not want to take the major surgery route, so the specialist recommended a series of minimally-invasive procedures. While those procedures have resulted in some improvement, Araya continues to deal with intermittent bouts of severe pain, numbness and muscle spasms. The surgical procedure that Araya will undergo, called an Anterior Cervical Discectomy with Fusion, is a relatively routine practice and the recovery rate is excellent.
Sales added, "As unfortunate as this is for so many people - the Megadeth and Testament camps, the concerts' promoters, and, of course, the fans - Tom's health is the number one priority, and this has to happen."

Los Angeles, CA - MONDAY, November 16, 2009 -- Slayer. Megadeth. Two names synonymous with fierce, crunching power. Two bands whose histories are inevitably intertwined in defining the thrash/metal genre. Individually, their respective prowess and accomplishments are impressive; but together, they're brutal and unstoppable. Megadeth and Slayer will join forces to co-headline "American Carnage," the most blistering, the most explosive, and the most eagerly anticipated mega-tour of the winter - and you do not want to miss it.
"American Carnage" will kick off on January 18 in Seattle, WA for a 26-date trek across North America that will include the six Canadian dates postponed earlier this month. Tickets for most shows go on sale this Friday, November 20. Ticketmaster is offering a special presale for most shows from Wednesday November 18 at 10am until Thursday November 19 at 10pm.
"American Carnage" is the first time that Slayer and Megadeth will have toured the U.S. together since 1991's epic "Clash of the Titans" tour. Both Megadeth and Slayer will hit the road supporting new albums: Megadeth's 2009 album, ENDGAME, while Slayer's World Painted Blood, the band's 10th studio venture, hit stores November 3. Slayer and Megadeth have already massacred territories together outside of the U.S. - first with four explosive dates in June, 2009 across Western Canada - "Canadian Carnage" - marking the first time the bands had shared a stage anywhere in 18 years; and then six co-headlining "Carnage" dates in Australia followed in October.
According to various Canadian press outlets last summer: "It was a night of thrash impossible to trash..." Slayer. Few bands come close to matching the intensity that Slayer - guitarists Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman, vocalist/bassist Tom Araya and drummer Dave Lombardo - brings to its live shows, having been named "Best Live Band" by numerous media outlets including Revolver, SPIN, and Metal Hammer. World Painted Blood offers a Slayer-ized point of view of our world - God's terrifying global genocide, the chaos of our broken political system, the way-too-close proximity of world horrors that technology has brought us, and a chilling hypothesis of how the rest of the world might view America. The album was recorded in Los Angeles over two time periods, during October 2008 and then between late January and March 2009. World Painted Blood was produced by Greg Fidelman, who's spent time in the studio with Metallica, the Gossip, the (International) Noise Conspiracy, Slipknot and others, and executive produced by long-time Slayer colleague, Rick Rubin, who suggested Fidelman for the project. One reviewer called the album "the heaviest, bloodiest and best album in almost two decades." Fans got a couple of early morsels of the brutal new Slayer material -- "Psychopathy Red," a Hanneman song inspired by the heinous Russian serial killer Andrei Chikatilo, who confessed to savagely murdering 56 children, was recorded last October and then leaked online. Then, the King-penned track, "Hate Worldwide," was made available in July as a limited-edition single through Hot Topic. For "American Carnage," Slayer's Tom Araya promises, "no ballads, no acoustic numbers, no slow tempos."
Megadeth. 2009 saw the release of ENDGAME, what has been heralded as Megadeth’s best album in years. It’s the record where it all comes full circle in a career that has not only set standards in hard rock and metal, but defined them. Megadeth’s signature shredding and rousing lyrics are the hallmarks of ENDGAME, with vocalist/guitarist Dave Mustaine once musing and making declarations about the world we live in, having named the album after a government document that should strike fear in the hearts of Americans! The Ultimate Access Pass is Live Nation’s golden ticket, good for admission to every single show in 2010 to an individual Live Nation venue. Every Live Nation club venue will have an Ultimate Access winner, with the names of winners posted on LiveNation.com Thursday morning at 12 Noon Eastern time. On Ultimate Access Wednesday every single ticket will be available at reduced cost as Live Nation drops the service fee on hundreds of thousands of tickets in its club venues across the country for one day only.
In addition to offering the concert goers the chance to win the Ultimate Access Pass, Live Nation is bringing music fans and their favorite bands closer together by hosting fan-and-band meet and greets at venues across the country. It all happens Wednesday, October 28th as Live Nation drops the service fee on hundreds of thousands of tickets in its club venues across the country. In addition to the onsite meet and greets, the No Service Fee offer will also be available at www.LiveNation.com for 24 hours beginning at 12:01 a.m. local time on Wednesday, October 28th on participating shows.

In between songs, the band fielded questions from show host Lou Brutus. TESTAMENT spoke candidly about filming of their early videos, special memories of being on the road, the band’s history, the reformation of the original line up of the band, and the recording of their new “Golden Gods” Award Winning Record, “The Formation of Damnation.”

Bay Area Thrash Legends TESTAMENT announce METAL HAMMER-sponsored UK tour, hot off the heels of their support stint with Judas Priest and exclusive show in London where the band played their first two albums in their entirety.

“One of the great things about our upcoming tour is that we'll have these special VIP packages that connect us with the fans,” said guitarist Alex Skolnick. “While we always try to say hello to as many folks as we can on tour, it can be difficult with the large crowds and general craziness at the shows. But this time, fans will have the option to come hang out with us via organized meet and greets. They can talk to us, get CDs and posters signed, take pictures etc., while those who are musicians can ask us questions and get advice for their bands. It's going to be fun performing but also getting to know so many of our fans up close and in person.”

Bay Area thrash legends TESTAMENT are taking the stage once again for their first US headlining tour in support of the award-winning The Formation of Damnation. The band’s first new studio album in nine years won “Album of the Year” at the 2008 Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards. The tour will feature the classic lineup of vocalist Chuck Billy, guitarists Eric Peterson and Alex Skolnick, bassist Greg Christian, and drummer Paul Bostaph. TESTAMENT will be bringing along metalcore heroes Unearth and neo-thrashers Lazarus A.D. The tour kicks off May 2.

Before Wacken, there was Dynamo.
For 20 years, the Dynamo Open Air Festival -- originally held in 1986 to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Dynamo rock club in Eindhoven, Holland -- was one of metal's most important annual events, peaking in 1995 when 118,000 fans packed the grounds of an abandoned Dutch military airport to see four dozen acts play on three different stages over three June days.
In 1987, though, Dynamo was still in its infancy. For that matter, so was the performer who would leave the biggest mark on the event that year -- Bay Area thrashers Testament. After their debut album, "The Legacy," made instant waves worldwide, the group was invited to make their European debut at the second Dynamo festival.
After a "warm-up" show at the 300-capacity Dynamo club the night before, Testament took the stage on a rainy June 8 and floored the 14,000 fans in attendance with an aggressive, fiery 45-minute set that showcased much of the material on "The Legacy." Five songs from their performance were captured on the EP "Live at Eindhoven," which was issued as a cassette and a 12" LP. However, the band's full set was never released officially -- until now.
Prosthetic Records is proud to announce the April 14 release of "Live at Eindhoven '87," which for the first time brings you Testament's complete 1987 Dynamo performance. A metal history lesson of the highest order, "Live at Eindhoven '87" sees the group's original lineup -- vocalist Chuck Billy, guitarists Alex Skolnick and Eric Peterson, bassist Greg Christian, and drummer Louie Clemente -- at their absolute hungriest. CLASSIC TESTAMENT TITLES TO BE REISSUED ON VINYL
Two classic albums by thrash legends TESTAMENT – 1997's "Demonic" and 1999's "The Gathering" – will be reissued on gatefold double vinyl by Prosthetic Records on Feb. 3. Each will feature etched artwork on Side D and be limited to 1,000 copies worldwide. Additionally, 100 copies of "Demonic" will feature red vinyl, while 100 copies of "The Gathering" will feature gold vinyl. Pre-orders can currently be placed at:

Over the last year, TESTAMENT made one of the most successful comebacks in recent metal history. Their latest album, "The Formation of Damnation," featuring four-fifths of the group's original lineup, debuted at #59 on the Billboard Top 200, the highest-charting release of the band's career. A high-profile summer tour with Judas Priest, Heaven & Hell and Motorhead followed. The band is currently preparing to tour Europe with Judas Priest and Megadeth next month.
During the 1990s, TESTAMENT were one of the few bands unafraid to unabashedly fly the flag of heavy metal. Although the group's lineup changed several times over the course of the decade, vocalist Chuck Billy and guitarist Eric Peterson could always be trusted to deliver quality true metal in an era dominated by short-lived musical trends.
Their efforts didn't go unnoticed. All Music Guide praises "Demonic" – mixed by Michael Wagener (Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne), and featuring Gene Hoglan (Dark Angel, Strapping Young Lad) on drums – as "the most evil-sounding album of their career" to that point, saying that "'Demonic' rivals even Slayer's 'Reign In Blood' in terms of heaviness." Meanwhile, Metal Hammer calls "The Gathering" – mixed by Andy Sneap (Opeth, Megadeth), and featuring guitarist James Murphy (Death, Obituary), bassist Steve DiGorgio (Sadus, Death) and Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo – "skull-flattening perfection," adding that "if there is a more important late '90s metal album, we'd love to know what it is."
"Demonic" and "The Gathering" were reissued on CD in 2008 and are currently available on all major digital platforms. Prosthetic plans to reissue additional TESTAMENT titles later in 2009, including the first-ever official CD release of the band's complete performance at the 1987 Dynamo Open Air festival.

TESTAMENT TAKES OVER HEADBANGERS BALL THIS SATURDAY!!!
This Saturday, December 13, Bay Area thrash legends TESTAMENT will be taking over the airwaves on MTV2's Headbangers Ball. Along with their brand-new video for "More Than Meets The Eye," HBB will also be airing never-before-seen footage from the band's shoot at Alcatraz in San Francisco. "More Than Meets The Eye" was produced by Kevin Custer (Kingdom of Sorrow, Beneath The Massacre).
Six TESTAMENT art pieces, performances, and videos will be intertwined with all the videos that air on Headbangers Ball, which airs Saturday night at 2AM Eastern / 1AM Central.
Chuck Billy and Eric Peterson recently commented on Headbangersblog.com about their new video: "We haven't had a new video out for a long time, since 'Low' in '94. Our new video is for 'More Than Meets the Eye', and it was created by Kevin Custer who's worked with Kingdom of Sorrow and Beneath the Massacre among others. It was really fun working with Kevin. He really worked in tandem with the band's vision and took it to the next level.
"The band went to LA and shot performance footage in front of a green screen, then Kevin turned that footage into mayhem with some "Formation of Damnation" happening in the background. We're happy with it as our first video. We look forward to doing more videos and getting into a concept. We're definitely pleased to have this represent us for the first one from the new record.

Bay Area thrash legends TESTAMENT have recruited guitarist Glen Drover (ex-MEGADETH, KING DIAMOND) to fill in for Alex Skolnick on their upcoming Mexican tour dates with JUDAS PRIEST.
Due to Alex's prior commitment to the TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA, the band sought out Glen Drover to fill in. The band rehearsed together all week and sounds sharper than ever!
Glen says, "I am really looking forward to playing these four upcoming shows in Mexico with my buddies in TESTAMENT, along with JUDAS PRIEST. We are totally going to crush!"
Alex Skolnick commented on his (temporary) replacement: "I regret that I'll be unable to perform at TESTAMENT's upcoming shows in Mexico this month. As many know, I've been touring with TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA since 2000, and it's been a blessing to be a part of both projects since reuniting with TESTAMENT in '05. I respect the TESTAMENT guys' decision to accept some gigs during this period, and I'm super happy to have Glen Drover filling in for me. TESTAMENT GEARS UP FOR METAL MASTERS US TOUR WITH JUDAS PRIEST, MOTORHEAD, & HEAVEN AND HELL!!!
Bay Area thrash titans Testament have returned from a successful European festival run and a triumphant victory for "Album of the Year" at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards, and they are now looking ahead to the upcoming Metal Masters tour, which will be screaming across the US this August. The tour also features metal legends Judas Priest, Heaven and Hell, and Motorhead. Metal Masters kicks off August 6 at the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, NJ and wraps up August 31 in Testament's hometown of San Francisco!
Prior to the Metal Masters tour, Testament will be playing a short string of dates in the US and Canada with the venerable Judas Priest. Testament will also play several special headlining club shows before and during the Metal Masters tour.
Guitarist Eric Peterson commented on the upcoming tour: "We just finished doing Europe, and it was killer. Now we're looking forward to playing with these bands that have had a huge influence on our lives. We're excited and honored to be a part of this tour, and we can't wait to get out and play. It's been 20 years since we've been on a tour like this."

There's a new independent feature film that's coming out in June called "On The Doll" --- the film's director is our friend and video director
The film stars Brittany Snow in a way you've never seen her before --- she plays a very mean-spirited prostitute who exacts revenge on the people who have abused and exploited her. The film deals with themes of child abuse and the way people can be victimized in a very compelling and heartfelt way --- the film also stars Candice Accola from "Juno", and Josh Janowicz from "The Chumscrubber".
The title comes "On The Doll" comes from the phrase psychiatrists ask children who've been abused to "Show them on the doll where they were touched". All the characters in this film are very strong, independent-thinking people who find ways to help each other overcome their adversaries even though they have all experienced great pain and hurt in their younger lives but they can still find the strength to not be victimized throughout their adult lives.
The film also has some great music in it too. The soundtrack is by Paul D'Amour, who was the original bassist and songwriter for TOOL. There are also songs by Miss Derringer, The Crystal Method, Feersum Ennjin and The Black Heart Procession. The music in the film is like a character itself and really creates the somber mood.

Thrash metal giants Testament have chosen acclaimed video director Thomas Mignone (Avenged Sevenfold, Superjoint Ritual, Slipknot) to shoot the video for the first single from The Formation of Damnation, "More Than Meets The Eye." The video will be shot in LA.
Guitarist Eric Peterson commented on the shoot: "We're getting ready to shoot a video this weekend with director Thomas Mignone, and we're going for a twist on 'More Than Meets The Eye,' where things appear one way, then turn out something different. A few tracks from 'Nostradamus' will make their in-concert debut on 'The Metal Masters Tour,' but the majority of Priest's set list will include some of metal's all-time classics, as well as fan favorites that span the quintet's entire career. Without a doubt, this will be one of Priest's most powerful sets ever.

Heaven & Hell will be supporting the release of 'The Rules Of Hell,' a five-CD boxed set available July 22nd from Rhino Records, which features re-mastered versions of all four Dio-era Black Sabbath albums ('Heaven and Hell,' 'Mob Rules,' 'Live Evil' and 'Dehumanizer') in a deluxe package with new liner notes.
Perennial road rats Motorhead will be offering a blistering barnstormer of a set spanning more than three decades of molar-rattling biker metal. A new studio album - the 20th of their storied career - is currently being recorded at their old pal Dave Grohl's studio with an August release date targeted. Frontman Lemmy, named by the U.K.'s Guardian newspaper as "the nation's greatest living Englishman," blairs out, "Here it comes everybody, the test of your Metalness in 2008 and the years to come! Come one come all and be abused!"
Rounding out the line-up will be legendary thrash metal titans Testament, whose new album, 'The Formation of Damnation,' (April 29th) displays Testament as the quintessential modern heavy metal band, whose experience and accumulated skill allows them to attack with reserves of anger, energy and finesse that make them more powerful than ever. Lead singer Chuck Billy says, "Uniting these bands is the heavy metal event of generations. We are so proud to be a part of it."
Although all four bands may represent different subgenres of heavy metal, all four have one thing in common – they have stuck to their stylistic guns through thick and thin, and have remained true to the metal form.

TESTAMENT'S CHUCK BILLY TO PERFORM AT THE 2008 LONGEST WALK 2 KICKOFF CONCERT!!!
Chuck Billy, lead singer of legendary thrash metal band Testament and proud member of the Pomo Indian Tribe will be performing at the Longest Walk Kickoff Concert on Saturday, February 9. The concert begins at 5:00PM at the Eastside Cultural Center in Oakland, CA. Chuck Billy will be performing alongside his brother Andy and 2006 Native American GRAMMY & NAMA recipient Star Nayea.
The Longest Walk Kickoff Concert will also feature performances by 7th Generation Rise, Blackhorse Blues Band, Jeremy Goodfeather, and others TBA. Tickets range in price from $25-$40.
The concert is a benefit for the Longest Walk 2, which kicks off on Monday, February 11. The Longest Walk 2 is being organized and led by American Indian Movement co-founder Dennis J. Banks. Participants will embark on a 5 month journey across America walking over 4,400 miles to Washington, D.C. arriving on July 11, 2008. TESTAMENT officially working with acclaimed drummer PAUL BOSTAPH
Paul Bostaph will join the ranks alongside originating classic thrash legends Chuck Billy on vocals, Alex Skolnick on lead guitar, Eric Peterson on rhythm guitar and Greg Christian on bass.
Unfortunately Nick Barker will not be recording with TESTAMENT on this new album, due to Homeland Security and International Work Visa issues. Rather than delaying this long awaited return of TESTAMENT, the band has chosen to recruit Paul Bostaph, long time friend and member, to record on the much anticipated album, which is tentatively scheduled for a spring 2008 release via Nuclear Blast. Paul Bostaph will join the ranks alongside originating classic thrash legends Chuck Billy on vocals, Alex Skolnick on lead guitar, Eric Peterson on rhythm guitar and Greg Christian on bass.

Testament Must Cancel Two Shows in Italy Only!
Due to events beyond their control, Testament are canceling two upcoming shows in Italy only, August 31 and September 1. The band wishes to express their grief in canceling these two shows. There has been a difficult situation recently involving band drummer Nick Barker having Visa issues and due to scheduling conflicts the band are going into the studio earlier at the end of August, earlier than anticipated, to begin recording their forthcoming Nuclear Blast release.
Testament wishes to thank the fans for their continued support as well as Debbie and the Italian promoters of these shows for being so generous with their understanding of the situation - Testament will be back in Italy soon and make it up to everyone!
